Dr. Fan’s Activities

In October 2025, Dr. Fan traveled to Chengdu, Sichuan Province, to attend an advanced Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) cosmetic training program led by Professor Liu Ning of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, widely regarded as a leading authority in TCM aesthetics in China. The program provided a comprehensive approach combining theoretical foundations with hands-on clinical practice, with a focus on using acupuncture techniques to improve nasolabial folds, hyperpigmentation, and dull or uneven skin tone. Dr. Fan gained extensive practical and clinical insights from this training.

The core principle of facial acupuncture for anti-aging is not about achieving results in one or two sessions, but rather a systematic process of “building the foundation, progressive improvement, and overall balance.”

Step One: Regulating Qi and Blood, Nourishing the Skin Foundation
True anti-aging begins with healthy circulation of qi and blood. By stimulating specific acupuncture points, facial acupuncture promotes blood flow, allowing nutrients to be delivered more efficiently to the face while accelerating the removal of metabolic waste. The skin is like soil—only when the “soil” is well nourished can the skin become naturally radiant, plump, and luminous.

Step Two: Stimulating Collagen, Enhancing Elasticity
Acupuncture needles gently penetrate the dermal layer, creating controlled micro-stimulation that activates the skin’s natural self-repair mechanisms. This process promotes the regeneration of collagen and elastic fibers, improving skin firmness and elasticity from the inside out.

Step Three: Relaxing Muscles, Stabilizing the Nervous System
Dynamic wrinkles (such as crow’s feet and frown lines) are primarily caused by chronic over-contraction of facial muscles. Acupuncture precisely relaxes tense muscle groups, lifts areas of laxity, and restores facial biomechanical balance. At the same time, it helps regulate the nervous system, relieve stress, improve sleep quality, and slow the aging process from within.
